Because I firmly believe that Bob Ross is God.
I dare you to sit through this entire video. It's Gamecrazy's, a video game store, training video. It's wiggedy whack, yo.
Johnny Carson was an amateur magician when he was growing up in Nebraska. He was fascinated by the craft and often had magicians on his show. Uri Geller, is a self-proclaimed psychic who would do parlor tricks and tried to pawn them off with mixed results. Johnny obviously didn't like that because he had Geller's pre-bent spoons replaced, making his trick impossible.
You can read more about Uri and other flim-flam artists on James Randi's website at randi.org.
In 1969, Mr. Rogers testified before a Senate panel in Washington DC. The Nixon White House was proposing cutting back public television funding by $20 million dollars at the time and, as a result, it would have crushed the infant network. Mr. Rogers went before that panel and, as you can see, single-handedly saved the day by inspiring Senator John Pastore (D) from Rhode Island.
Two years ago, Bill Lawrence, the creator of "Scrubs", pitched a show to the WB network about two best friends who love sitcoms who get a chance to create one for the WB. They have to live on a soundstage in front a studio audience, but it's the chance of a lifetime for them. It's hilarious.
The WB passed, but recently it was posted on YouTube and NBC gave it a second look, buying 6 scripts with the intent of making it a midseason show. I even hear they'll do webisodes until they launch. Very cool.
This is part one. You can find parts 2 and 3 in my video section.
